Indonesian authorities on Saturday temporarily banned Elon Musk's Grok chatbot over concerns it generates pornographic content. Indonesia became the first country to ban access to such artificial intelligence tools.
Indonesian Minister of Communications and Digital Mutiya Hafid said that involuntary deepfakes without consent seriously violate human rights, citizen dignity and citizen security in the digital space. The department has summoned Company X executives to discuss the matter.
