On January 25, the Gwangju District Prosecutor’s Office in South Korea suspected of losing a large number of Bitcoins seized in criminal cases. According to BlockBeats, the exact number of Bitcoins lost was undisclosed but was worth hundreds of billions of won.
Prosecutors discovered that a fake website was visited while checking Bitcoin-related passwords stored on a USB stick that were lost during a routine inspection. Internal discussions among prosecutors believe that the value of the lost Bitcoins is as much as 70 billion won.
