Banco Sabadell will join the European Banking Union to jointly launch a euro stablecoin

Banco Sabadell (BME:SABE) CEO Cesar Gonzalez-Bueno said on Tuesday that the bank will join the Qivalis Alliance. The consortium of European banks plans to launch a euro-pegged stablecoin in the second half of 2026.
The alliance aims to counter U.S. dominance in digital payments through this stablecoin project.
