On Saturday, Bitcoin was trading just below $65,000, up slightly from the previous 24 hours. At the same time, investors are evaluating the major security vulnerabilities exposed by BTC (https://cn.investing.com/crypto/bitcoin/btc-usd) Pay Server and the risk of replay attacks that may be caused by the BIP-110 chain fork (stock split).

The attacker exploited a vulnerability in BTCPay Server late last Friday night to steal the credentials used to control Lightning nodes. These nodes run LND software specifically designed to process fast, low-cost Bitcoin payments. As of 4:54 a.m. Eastern Time (16:54 Beijing time), Bitcoin rose 0.61% to $64,986.0.

BTCPay officials have confirmed that funds have been stolen and urgently require affected operators to immediately upgrade to version 2.4.2 or take their servers offline. Currently, the project has not disclosed the number of victims or the amount of Bitcoin lost.

This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to obtain the "macaroon" file - a credential that grants access to the LND node. Once an attacker gets hold of this file, they can take control of the Lightning wallet, close the payment channel, and transfer funds
