Bitcoin fell to $77,100, as tensions between the United States and Iran and CPI data put pressure on the market
On Friday, the price of Bitcoin fell. The escalation of military tensions between the United States and Iran caused traders to generally avoid risky assets. At the same time, the market was also waiting for the upcoming key data on U.S. inflation, and caution prevailed.
Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, fell 1.7% to $77,197.6 at 1:51 a.m. Eastern Time (13:51 p.m. Beijing time). The cumulative decline this week reached 3%, ending the previous three consecutive weeks of rising momentum.
The broader cryptocurrency market was also lower, with concerns over the conflict in Iran and the outlook for U.S. interest rates prompting some investors to take profits after the sector's strong gains in early September.
