Bitcoin rose above $86,000 as weak employment data eased pressure on high yields

Bitcoin traded above $86,000 on Monday and once touched near $87,000 during the session, as investors weighed the weaker-than-expected U.S. employment data against still-high U.S. bond yields and continued inflationary pressures.
As of 4:58 a.m. Eastern Time (16:58 Beijing time), Bitcoin was last up about 1.3% at $86,203.4, after hitting an intraday high of $86,995.4.
The cryptocurrency briefly topped $87,000 after Friday's U.S. jobs report, but has struggled to gain a foothold above that mark.
